Resource Management (RM) is a business‑critical function at Deloitte. It ensures that we have the right people, with the right skills, in the right locations, available at the right time. It is also critical that our practitioners receive the right training and study for their ACA at the right time. As a member of the RM learning and professional education team, you will support the business unit leadership and practitioners, playing a crucial role in the implementation and delivery of RM services to provide operational excellence whilst supporting the delivery of the business talent strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure practitioners receive core curriculum and mandatory training at the right time to ensure our teams are skilled to provide the best experience to our clients. ACA planning is key to ensure they complete their qualification at the right time.
  • Act as the main contact for all queries relating to compliance, ad hoc learning and professional education across Audit & Assurance.
  • Own key processes across the RM team in support of core‑curriculum classroom, e‑learnings, professional education (ACA) and new graduate intake training and professional education.
  • Manage New Joiner Learning & Professional Education, Team & Personal Development.
  • Provide regular and accurate management information, analysis, and advice in areas such as outstanding compliance classroom and e‑learnings, no shows, college pathways, resits, exam terminations and off pathway individuals.
  • Liaise, influence and challenge effectively to resolve issues and build relationships at all levels with multiple stakeholders.
  • Work closely with learning managers and exam managers to plan training during non‑busy periods and effectively plan mop‑ups.
  • Proactively prepare for and lead Resource Management meetings to ensure that critical learning decisions can be made quickly.
  • Coach and mentor junior resource management team members.
  • Become an integral member of a close‑knit Resource Management team across the wider UK remit.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Confident and skilled verbal and written communicator – ability to cultivate trusted advisor working relationships with practitioners, business unit team members and the wider resource management function.
  • Experience in developing Management Information and strong working knowledge of Excel.
  • Interpret and analyse Management Information (MI) to identify trends, make connections and spot opportunities to improve profitability.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to deliver creative resourcing solutions and manage any issues (e.g., outstanding individuals, professional education – resits, deferrals or facilitator dropouts and gaps).
  • Provide a level of flexibility and agility in the staffing model to respond to last‑minute changes, swaps, facilitator gaps, internal room issues and understand the commercial drivers and be willing to prioritise and re‑prioritise to make sure all crises are resolved.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise training calendar for the year for Audit & Assurance, ad hoc courses and e‑learning and ACA management (bookings on individual schedules, being aware of exemptions, changes in timetables, resits, deferrals) and to multitask, managing a significant workload under pressure with excellent attention to detail.
  • A track record of interacting effectively with empathy, impact, and discretion, cultivating trusted advisor working relationships with Business Unit leadership, practitioners and team members.
