The Talent Category Procurement Manager plays a critical role in executing and delivering strategic Contingent Labour, Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, and Benefits related initiatives. This position involves developing master category strategies and collaborating closely with internal customers to formulate and implement essential strategies that align with broader business objectives.
In this position, you will ensure new value is delivered to the firm by optimising sourcing strategies for total cost of ownership, longâterm value creation, and operational efficiency. You will negotiate critical deals with suppliers, address risks, and secure favourable outcomes. Success depends on your ability to independently collaborate with key business stakeholders, ensuring procurement decisions align seamlessly with organisational goals, timelines, and performance expectations. You will be measured by your ability to deliver value, drive efficiency improvements, and enhance stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities- Serve as a procurement advisor by consulting and advising internal partners, principals, and executives on critical procurement initiatives.
- Establish strong, trustâbased relationships with senior executives, serving as the primary procurement liaison to ensure alignment with business priorities.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, aligning on sourcing/procurement project objectives, developing key deliverables, and implementing changes.
- Coordinate with internal departments to anticipate needs and specifications, ensuring procurement activities are synchronised with broader goals.
- Conduct and analyse market research to identify potential vendors and suppliers.
- Perform regular assessments and conduct internal and external analysis to identify new opportunities to add value.
- Create insights related to the clientâs strategic and financial objectives through structured data analyses.
- Lead the development of master category strategies and detailed negotiation strategies to guide procurement initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure strategies align with business objectives and deliver maximum value.
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives (RFI/RFP) and negotiate highâvalue contracts to optimise procurement outcomes.
- Perform in-depth spend analysis and trend evaluation, identifying consolidation opportunities to leverage enterpriseâwide buying power.
- Establish, track, and report on procurement performance metrics, using dataâdriven insights to evaluate outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure contract compliance and resolve issues effectively.
- Serve as a trusted advisor through persuasive communication, managing the presentation of final project deliverables.
- Drive the identification and implementation of procurement best practices to deliver measurable value.
- Proven procurement experience with expertise in contingent labour, talent acquisition, and other talent-related categories.
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent).
- Extensive experience in strategic sourcing execution and negotiation strategy development.
- Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate coordination between legal and business stakeholders for contract completion.
- Proficiency in agreement and contract templates.
- Experience working independently and in virtual environments.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, Microsoft Teams/Office Suite, and iCertis.
