Our Life Sciences Operations and Industry Domain Solutions team are transformation and industry specialists working with some of the most interesting and cutting-edge Life Sciences clients globally. Working with colleagues across Deloitte, we combine business design, process design and cost transformation with digital / technology fluency to solve our clients' biggest challenges, bringing the unpredictable and unknown into focus to enable our clients turn their bold ideas into reality.
The Life Sciences Operations & Domain Solutions team recognises that our success in the industry is due to our incredible people. We are looking for candidates with a mixture of business, technical, and project-based expertise to join us, working in fast-paced teams with other highly talented, fun and motivated colleagues. As a Consultant within our Life Sciences Operations and Industry Solutions team you will work alongside operations transformation experts to help clients innovate and transform their business models and core operations.
Our projects vary greatly and your responsibility as a consultant will differ based on the focus of the client engagement and your skillset, opportunities within the role include:
- Working in teams to understand and solve our clients' challenges by designing, building, implementing and transforming their future operations
- Supporting development of business cases to deliver sustainable cost efficiencies in collaboration with clients
- Analysing, streamlining and re-engineering processes to enhance efficiency, improve outcomes and drive productivity
- Working at the interface between business and technology to solve client problems digitally, advising them on embracing new technologies and ways of thinking to improve their business operations and teams
- Developing relationships across a broad range of stakeholder groups within Deloitte and with clients
We are looking for people to join our team who embrace change and have a passion for the Life Sciences industry. The quality of our technical skills is enhanced through our practical knowledge of implementation and our ability to learn from each other. In addition to a keen interest in Life Sciences and a strong work ethic, we are also looking for the following:
- Experience of being a part of transformation projects or programmes with the aim of delivering a real step change to an organisation's ways of working
- Ability to rapidly understand complex business challenges, comfortable working with data to build a grasp of the client's operating model and processes and draw conclusions in a logical manner
- Strong communicator with the ability to tailor messaging to the audience, ability to organise insights into a logical flow and content to enable impactful storytelling when presenting recommendations
A successful candidate may additionally be able to demonstrate, although this is not essential:
- Keen interest and understanding of Life Sciences trends with the ability to spot future industry trends and develop compelling points-of-view
- Experience in process simplification, including any relevant accreditations e.g. Lean6 Sigma
- Experience in applying data visualisation and data analytics tools to support decision-making
