We are seeking to hire an experienced Commercial Operations leader in the Life Sciences practice of Deloitte's AI & Data service offering. You will have the opportunity to work with a huge variety of interesting, international, and world-leading clients who are navigating an evolving marketplace where Agentic AI is taking Commercial operations to a new level. This technology holds the potential to revolutionise the life science industry by generating advanced opportunities, innovative business models, and enhanced productivity throughout the life science value chain.

As a Commercial Operations lead, you will be responsible for developing and executing our go-to-market strategy, leading client engagements, building high-performing teams, and fostering innovation within the practice.

This strategic role demands a deep understanding of the life sciences industry, combined with expertise in leveraging AI and advanced analytics to drive transformative changes in commercial operations.

  • Define and implement the vision and strategy for Deloitte's Life Sciences Commercial Operations - AI & Data Driven Solutions practice. Identify emerging trends and develop innovative solutions to address client challenges.
  • Client Engagement & Business Development: Cultivate and manage senior-level client relationships within leading pharmaceutical, biotech, and medtech companies. Lead business development efforts, including identifying opportunities, developing proposals, and securing new engagements.
  • Solution Delivery & Innovation: Oversee the design and implementation of AI/ML models and advanced analytics solutions for incentive compensation, quota setting, incentive design, structure, target setting, and other commercial operations challenges. Ensure solutions are scalable, robust, and deliver measurable business value.
  • Practice Building & Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing team of consultants, data scientists, and engineers. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Thought Leadership & Market Influence: Represent Deloitte as a thought leader in the field of AI-driven commercial operations. Publish articles, present at conferences, and contribute to industry forums.

Connect to your skills and professional experience:

  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS, PhD) in a relevant field (life sciences, engineering, data science, business) or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in life sciences commercial operations, with a proven track record of success in incentive compensation, quota setting, and/or sales force effectiveness.
  • Deep understanding of AI/ML techniques and their application to commercial operations challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex projects, budgets, and teams.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Preferably you will also have:

  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance considerations in life sciences data privacy and security.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships at the executive level.
