The Risk and Technology Enablement (RATE) team within Data & Analytics is the driving force behind technological advancement within Audit & Assurance. We are passionate about identifying and implementing innovative solutions, constantly seeking out and evaluating emerging technologies to maintain our competitive edge. We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Manager to join our dynamic Technology Enablement team within Audit & Assurance. This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of innovation, shaping how technology transforms our audit approach and delivers value to our clients.

As a key member of the team, you will:

  • Be part of the end-to-end technology solution delivery; from identifying opportunities and designing solutions to overseeing their implementation and integration.
  • Play a crucial role in bringing to life innovative ideas raised by the business, driving impactful change within Audit & Assurance through solutions that address key business challenges and unlock new opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with various teams, including auditors, data scientists, and IT specialists, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop your technical skills in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment, with excellent opportunities for career progression within the firm.

To qualify for this role, it is essential you have:

  • Experience in designing, developing, and deploying analytics solutions to audit professionals.
  • Proven ability to consult with stakeholders to understand and consolidate requirements and to design solutions that meet their needs.
  • Proficiency in developing and documenting high quality, modular code in SQL and Python.
  • An understanding of software development methodologies and best practices, including experience with agile development approaches.
  • An eye for detail, and a structured and thorough approach to delivering high quality output, including experience of code, output and documentation review.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • A proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Further desirable skills include:

  • Experience of developing junior staff.
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Azure to host and deploy analytical solutions.
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Synapse Analytics.
  • Experience in React development.
  • Knowledge of DevOps and Agile Project Management including Azure DevOps, GIT and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).
  • Some understanding of the regulatory landscape relevant to audit and assurance.
  • An interest in and knowledge of current technology trends impacting the industry, including areas such as Generative AI (GenAI).
