You will have the opportunity to work closely with our Private Equity and Corporate clients in delivering performance improvement initiatives and turnarounds. Successful candidates will benefit from a demonstrable strong track record in delivering performance improvement initiatives, experience in navigating senior stakeholders and strong analytical skills, including Excel/PowerPoint capability.

VCS is a hands-on, delivery focused performance improvement team. We support Private Equity backed Financial Services focused businesses. We assist them to accelerate their performance, delivering improvements to their cash & EBITDA position. Our team is pragmatic in its approach and helps businesses overcome challenges by supporting management (and owners, where appropriate) to drive sustainable operational change. This is an opportunity to leverage your performance improvement and turnaround experience in a stimulating new environment. Our VCS practice is experiencing rapid growth and we now have multiple opportunities across the team to recruit high calibre delivery individuals.
Responsibilities- Assisting Financial Services clients in assessing the value creation potential within their business, and developing action plans to deliver against performance improvement initiatives.
- Working hands-on with management teams to deliver tangible impact within an accelerated timeframe to maximise value.
- Supporting corporate, private equity and financial investors across the full M&A lifecycle, including buy and sell-side operational diligence covering operating models, margin expansion, carve out and integration.
- Working with FS-focused colleagues from Strategy, Risk & Transactions Advisory (SRTA), Technology & Transformation, and the broader Deloitte network, the team provide our clients with a coherent overview of the business operations, performance gaps and the potential for rapid improvement.
- Work effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.
- Demonstrable track record of successfully delivering performance improvement programs or delivering an operational turnaround at an accelerated pace within a consultancy or corporate background.
- FS sector focus, ideally across a range of FS sub-sectors.
- Credentials in pre-deal operational due diligence and/or pre/post-deal carve out and integration.
- Proven experience in the implementation of either cost reduction, target operating model, cash and working capital or liquidity management initiatives.
- Track record in business development, including generation of new leads and building out existing projects.
- Experience with private equity portfolio companies is desirable.
- Senior stakeholder and project management capability.
- Experience in managing and developing talent.
- Very strong analytical skills and experience in Excel and/or other BI tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI etc…).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Flexibility for international travel.
