AI Venture Lead, Associate Director, Innovation & Ventures, Strategy & Business Design in London

We are a dynamic team of designers, researchers, and strategists with roots in the design-led innovation consultancy Doblin and Monitor Deloitte's lean start-up consulting team.

Guided by our ethos of being creative, entrepreneurial and bold, our toolset combines strategy development, human-centred design, and Lean Start Up methodologies to develop new ventures and innovate across product, service, and business model.

Our AI Venture Lead will play a critical role in defining and shaping Deloitte's AI Strategy offering within Innovation & Ventures – identifying AI's transformative impact on our clients' businesses and designing and piloting solutions to prepare for scale value. You'll also actively contribute to the development of the Innovation & Venture AI Strategy team, coaching and developing the junior team.

We're seeking candidates who excel in strategy and have a passion for Technology, AI, and Data. Key skills and experience include:

• Manage project teams – guiding one or more multi-disciplinary project teams and mentoring and developing the AI Strategy Team
• Client leadership – building relationships with senior stakeholders within strategic accounts, acting as the first point of contact for clients including coaching them through our approach to AI innovation
• Structuring project approach – leading in structuring the engagement team's approach to problem solving (e.g. hypothesis-led)
• Commercial acumen – identifying potential commercial models for new ventures including modelling the underlying market and venture's potential revenues and profits
• Business development – developing relationships with existing and prospective clients, building a pipeline of AI Strategy projects, identifying business development opportunities, developing proposals and building distinctive, enduring, client relationships
• Thought leadership/IP – contributing to the ongoing evolution of our methodologies and perspectives of how AI can reshape clients' industries

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:

• Proven experience in Strategy or Innovation Consultancy, start-up, or corporate venture team
• Experience in leveraging AI expertise to identify strategic opportunities, quantify business value, and design impactful pilot programmes for clients
• A deep technical understanding of AI solutions, platforms and applications, with a knowledge of the latest developments in the field of AI and other emerging technologies
• Experience in leading technical teams in the delivery of AI prototypes and PoCs
• Inquisitiveness, creativity, and the ability to challenge corporate norms
• Structured approach to problem solving (e.g. hypothesis-led)
• Mastery of lean start-up and innovation related methodologies
• Capacity to guide clients through the innovation process (e.g. from concept to MVP)
• Comfort working in a highly ambiguous environment
• Full ownership of client projects and project teams
