Are you a highly skilled and experienced SAP Technical Architect who can lead the modernisation and transformation of our SAP landscape? This crucial role will involve architecting, designing, and delivering complex SAP solutions, focusing on the migration from legacy systems to a clean core S/4HANA environment leveraging the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of SAP architecture, integration middleware, and possess a proven track record of successful SAP ECC to S/4HANA migrations.
Your impact
Modernisation Strategy: Lead the definition and execution of a comprehensive strategy for modernising our SAP landscape, focusing on migrating legacy systems to a clean core S/4HANA environment. This includes identifying and mitigating risks associated with the transition.
Landscape Planning: Design and plan the overall SAP landscape, including the integration of S/4HANA with boundary systems and other enterprise applications. This involves considering factors such as scalability, security, performance, and maintainability.
SAP BTP Expertise: Leverage the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) to enhance the S/4HANA clean core architecture, integrating cloud-based services and extending the capabilities of our SAP systems. Demonstrate a strong understanding of BTP\’s role in S/4HANA modernisation.
Migration Delivery: Lead and oversee the technical aspects of migrating from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition with minimal disruption to business operations. This includes managing technical teams and coordinating with other stakeholders.
Integration Architecture: Design and implement a robust integration architecture for SAP systems, utilising appropriate middleware technologies to ensure seamless data exchange between SAP and non-SAP systems. Deep understanding of integration patterns and best practices is essential.
Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all aspects of the SAP landscape, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and migration plans.
Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, functional teams, and other IT departments to ensure alignment with business requirements and overall IT strategy.
Problem Solving: Identify and resolve complex technical issues related to SAP systems and integrations, ensuring the stability and performance of our SAP environment.
Vendor Management: Work with external vendors and partners to ensure the successful delivery of SAP projects and services.

To be successful in this role you are required to demonstrate the following competencies
- Proven experience in SAP architecture and implementation, with a focus on S/4HANA.
- Proven experience in leading and delivering complex SAP ECC to S/4HANA migrations.
- Deep understanding of SAP integration technologies and middleware (e.g., PI/PO, CPI).
- Extensive experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and its integration with S/4HANA.
- Strong understanding of SAP\\\’s clean core approach and its benefits.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Relevant SAP certifications are highly desirable (e.g., S/4HANA, BTP).
Additional Considerations:
- Experience with Agile methodologies is preferred.
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Knowledge of the architecture SAP development technologies – ABAP, Fiori, CDS, RAP
