Location Hybrid: The role will be predominantly remote and you are required to be in the London client office on an adhoc basis.

About the Project
We are seeking an experienced Android Developer to work with Public Sector/Government clients. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing Android applications and will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality mobile applications. You will be part of the Product Team and report to the Product Tech Lead. You will demonstrate your capabilities in the following areas:
- Eligible and willing to obtain UK Government Security Clearance (i.e. must have lived in the UK for the last 5 years)
- Strong technical skillset and engineering practice with a minimum 5 years experience of developing Android applications
- Knowledge of Kotlin programming languages
- Experience with Android SDK, Android Studio and Gradle build system
- Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON
- Experience with Git version control system
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- A team player with excellent communication and teamwork skills
Desired Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
Deliverables Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Design and develop advanced applications for the Android platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Work with outside data sources and APIs
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
- Continuously discover, evaluate and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to the team
- Participate in code reviews and ensure that the code is of high quality
- Ensure that the applications are secure and follow best practices for data protection
