Join Deloitte's UK General Counsel office as a Commercial lawyer and support the firm on a wide range of legal and commercial matters, including Generative AI implementation, procurement contracts, technology agreements and strategic member firm arrangements.
Responsibilities
- Advising on and negotiating large-scale procurement contracts, complex technology contracts, managed services and outsourcing contracts, sponsorship, CSR and publishing contracts, IP matters, member firm arrangements, regulatory matters and implementation of Generative AI and other new technologies.
- Large-scale procurement contracts for a range of goods and services.
- Complex technology contracts including hardware, SaaS and associated licensing arrangements.
- Managed services and outsourcing contracts.
- Sponsorship, CSR, publishing and collaborations, contracts and initiatives.
- IP matters: Trademark and brand protection.
- Member firm arrangements with other Deloitte firms across the network.
- Regulatory matters relating to commercial arrangements.
- Implementation and use of Generative AI and other new technologies.
Qualifications
- Experienced and confident lawyer with a proven ability to work on a wide variety of commercial matters (including non-contentious and contentious).
- UK qualified lawyer with proven post‑qualification experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills, and ability to influence.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to quickly build connections and a highly collaborative approach.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive information and situations.
- Alignment and behaviour consistent with Deloitte's shared values.
- In‑house experience (some professional services or equivalent large complex organisational experience).
- Experience working on Generative AI or emerging technology matters.
Work arrangement
Based in London with a hybrid working policy. Work may take place in local office, virtual collaboration spaces, client sites and remotely as required.
