Overview

An exciting vacancy has arisen to join the National Accounting and Audit (NAA), Operations Centre of Excellence. If you are structured, quality focused and adept at problem solving with a desire for continuous improvement, including for your own personal development, you may be a great fit. Associates within the NAA Operations Centre of Excellence can work across multiple and varied analytical and administrative tasks. This team provides support to the Audit and Assurance Business helping to make sure we meet our regulatory requirements whilst delivering excellent client service and adhering to the highest level of quality standards. This will involve working within defined processes and developing a strong understanding of the fundamental requirements of a regulated or compliance focused business.

All successful applicants will be required to adhere to enhanced compliance standards and may be required to sign confidentiality agreements on joining.

In this role you may be involved in producing or updating reports, conducting research, maintaining data sources or responding to queries from colleagues within the Audit and Assurance business. You will be good at prioritising tasks and may have previous experience of a regulated working environment.

Successful applicants should be self-motivated, adaptable, quick to learn and with strong interpersonal and communication skills. You will probably also be good at understanding and interpreting numerical data and have experience of using Microsoft Office programmes to a competent level, especially in Excel. You may also already be a proficient user of simple AI tools too. You will have time to train and become accustomed to our in-house tools and systems.

Key previous experience and skills include;

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Previous experience of using AI tools is an advantage
  • Able to plan, prioritize, multi-task and manage own workload to tight deadlines
  • Proactive and creative approach to problem solving
  • Diligent, conscientious and with a strong attention to detail
  • Some working experience within a regulated environment is desirable, but not essential
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A good level of numeracy. The ability to review and analyse numerical data to spot trends and anomalies will be important
  • Basic data entry and reporting skills (proficiency in data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus but not required)
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures
  • Committed to working in a fast paced environment where contributing to maintaining a diverse, inclusive and welcoming environment, where team members are recognised for their contribution
