We are looking for people with Construction Cost Consultancy expertise combined with a technical background to support the delivery of a number of capital projects across the UK, ranging in size up to £100m.

Responsibilities
- Providing end-to-end business advice to optimise the delivery of large Capital Projects and Programmes by:
- Capital Projects Delivery: Ensuring buildings meet our client\\\’s needs through project management and employer\\\’s agent roles across a variety of large capital projects in both the private and public sectors, with an initial focus on internal corporate Deloitte projects across the UK.
- Cost Consultancy: Providing end to end cost consultancy through the full project lifecycle, including pre and post-contract services such as cost estimating, cost modelling and valuation assessments.
- Procurement and Delivery Strategy: Advising on the set up and management of large capital projects and programmes including setting up and working within PMO\\\’s, advising on approaches to procurement, contract management, programme controls, governance and organisation structure.
- Procurement and Tendering: Support clients throughout their procurement and tendering requirements, optimising requirements and processes to support the best possible outcomes.
- Project Controls and Reporting: Input into cost and project reporting including risk management, change control, cost processes and governance.
- Capital Projects Assurance: Reviewing the performance of capital projects to identify areas for improvement and help Client\\\’s control business risk and establish confidence in the delivery of their projects. Typically provided through implementing effective project and programme management, governance and outlining the management information needed to support effective decision making.
- Due Diligence: Providing technical construction advice to businesses going through change, supporting M&A transactions in addition to wider financial restructuring.
As part of our diverse and successful team you will have the opportunity to advise clients on all aspects of construction and real estate related business matters. We need flexible people who are willing to support the delivery of capital projects, but also get involved in strategic consultancy and project assurance roles when available.
Required skills and experience
- Experience working for a construction consultancy delivering high quality cost consultancy services in the real estate and construction sectors; and
- Professionally qualified with relevant qualification which may be based in Construction Project Management, Quantity Surveying/Cost Consultancy, Building Surveying, Engineering – MAPM, MCIOB, MRICS, MICE, IStructE, CEng or equivalent level of experience.
- Experience with Cost X quantification software or similar, however training can be made available if required;
- Familiarity with the JCT and NEC suite of building contracts;
Desirable skills and experience
- Excellent analytical skills – desirable but not essential to have data analytics experience i.e. use of data visualisation software such as Power Bi or tableau;
- Strong communication skills honed through experience in client-facing roles;
- Excellent presentation and report writing skills;
- The ability to build and maintain strong client relationships;
- The ability to work independently and take initiative;
- Excellent problem solving and a strategic thinker;
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude, eager to contribute and collaborate effectively; and
- The ability to travel as required (opportunity to work on assignments overseas).

Infrastructure and Real Estate Our Infrastructure and Real Estate team supports both public and private sector clients on complex infrastructure, real estate, and capital projects. Typical engagements include urban regeneration, transport, energy and renewables, and occupier advisory to central government and large corporate companies.
