Our Assurance practice encompasses skills across regulation and finance with a deep analytics capability. We harness these to provide Assurance to those charged with governance, serving the public interest. Deloitte's assurance offerings help those charged with governance to understand their business and build trust amongst key stakeholders and regulators.

We are looking for a Manager to join the Insurance part of the Regulation (Insurance) team within Regulatory Assurance to lead and support the work we do with firms across the General Insurance industry.

Your responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will take a lead role in the delivery and management of client engagements, working closely with more senior members of the Regulation team.
  • You will have experience in regulatory change, compliance and/or risk management, in the insurance industry, and you will be proactive in building expertise in response to changes in the market and regulatory focus areas.
  • You will be quick in developing an advanced understanding of your clients' business needs and key risks and you will be responsible for creating and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring that we are adding value to clients' businesses and that the relationships we create outlast the individual projects.
  • Another key aspect to the role is practice management, including preparing budgets, resourcing and client billing, and proactively engaging with the wider activities of the team.

To qualify for this opportunity, candidates must have the following experience:

  • Prior experience in a Compliance / Conduct / Risk Management / role or relevant experience from another professional services firm.
  • Insurance industry background preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – both written and verbal.
  • Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving skills, ability to multi-task and demonstrate flexible thinking.
  • Ability to think critically and analytically, and make informed decisions and judgements.
  • Experience in delivering presentations and pitches.
  • Experience in conducting stakeholder interviews and interacting with senior board and committee members.
  • Strong MS PowerPoint skills, with the ability to 'create' and produce visual representations.
  • Aptitude with MS Word and Excel.
  • Confident client presence and ability to build contacts and develop relationships.
  • Strong team leadership skills and proven ability to lead challenging projects and teams.
  • Positive and ambitious attitude, and ability to work on own initiative.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
