We’re looking for a proactive and driven HR Business Partner to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the early career/development stage of experience who is ready to gain further generalist HR experience in a role with real variety and responsibility. You’ll be at the heart of our people operation; supporting managers, taking ownership of your own HR case workload and ensuring our HR administration processes run smoothly and efficiently.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing end-to-end HR processes such as recruitment, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, and performance management
- Acting as a trusted advisor to line managers, providing practical, legally sound HR guidance
- Serving as a key point of contact for employees, managers, and employee representatives
- Coordinating across HR, payroll, H&S, and management teams to keep processes running effectively
- Managing time & attendance systems, ensuring accurate data and payroll reporting
- Handling starters, leavers, and contractual changes from start to finish
- Maintaining accurate employee records and producing HR KPI reports
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across multiple sites
- Assisting with HR projects and broader strategic activities
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who is confident, organised, and ready to take ownership of their workload.
Essential:
- You don’t need to have senior-level HR experience, but you need to have enough experience in a generalist HR operational role to be able to confidently and legally handle core activities such as recruitment, absence management and disciplinaries.
- You need to be able to give basic advice and coaching to line managers and know when to ask for legal or other support.
- You need to have proven experience managing a varied HR case workload. No two days are the same and you will be expected to juggle multiple and conflicting priorities.
- This role offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to grow your HR career in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with time & attendance systems and payroll reporting is essential.
- You need to be curious, confident to challenge status quo, make suggestions and give opinions, tenacious as you’ll be the ‘boots on the ground’ for the HR function at your site and will be the go-to person in the first instance for most cases.
- Ability to work independently as the only HR Rep on site but coordinate well with the HR function that must be always aligned.
- Ability to travel (UK) when required.
Desirable:
- Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Level 3 HR qualification
We are looking for people who demonstrate the below behaviours:
- Committed – take ownership, deliver results, and go the extra mile
- Innovative – challenge the status quo and look for better ways of working
- Team Spirit – collaborate effectively across functions and sites
- Joy – share knowledge, celebrate success, and contribute to a great working environment
If you’re ready to take the next step in your HR career, we’d love to hear from you. You must have the right to work in the UK.
