About DELLI exists to empower the independent economy, the makers, creators, and producers whose craft shapes the way the world tastes, feels, and connects. We imagine a world where every maker has a companion; a quiet, intelligent partner who handles the chaos so they can stay focused on the joy of creating. Every day, millions of small businesses lose hours to invisible labour—the unseen admin, the back‐and‐forth messages, the clarifications, the late‐night catch‐up that keeps everything moving. It’s the unspoken cost of being independent, and it steals time and energy from the work that actually matters. We believe commerce should feel natural again.
A baker shouldn’t have to wrestle with emails, calls, spreadsheets and tools that don’t talk to each other. A retailer shouldn’t need to scan across fragmented channels just to understand who has stock or what’s available. In the world we’re building, AI agents become the connective tissue, listening across conversations, interpreting intent, and quietly taking care of what needs to happen next. They reduce noise, restore clarity, and give makers and retailers the freedom to operate the way they already do, but with far more ease, confidence, and flow. It’s intelligence that feels human, supportive, and alive—technology that steps in without stepping over. We’re starting in food, where culture, community, and craft collide most powerfully. What we learn here will shape how we support other categories across the independent economy, amplifying the people who make our world more interesting, more human, and more alive.
Role: We’re looking for a contract product designer to help us bring this world to life—someone who can translate our vision into visual systems, interfaces, and experiences that feel human, intelligent, and culturally alive. This isn’t just about pixels on a screen. You’ll be designing for agentic interactions—thinking about how intelligence communicates, builds trust, and disappears when it should. You’ll help define what "agent‐first design" actually looks and feels like. You’ll work closely with the founder, engineering team, product and the makers themselves, designing across product, brand, and storytelling touchpoints—from interface systems to prototypes, decks, and creative concepts that expand how DELLI shows up in the world.
What You’ll Do:
- Design interfaces and experiences across our Order, Payments, and Discovery Hubs—agentic systems that work across channels and devices.
- Develop visual and interaction design principles for agent‐first workflows—clarity, trust, context, personality.
- Collaborate closely with engineering to prototype agent interactions—voice, chat, ambient intelligence.
- Translate DELLI’s vision into cohesive design systems, both digital and brand‐facing.
- Create decks, visual narratives, and cultural artefacts that communicate the world of DELLI to partners and makers.
- Run user testing and interpret qualitative and quantitative insights to inform and refine design decisions.
- Partner with product, data, and engineering teams to align on goals, integrate feedback, and bring ideas from concept to delivery.
- Work fast, iterate often—concept to prototype, feedback to refinement.
Requirements:
- You’re a multidisciplinary designer—equally comfortable with product UX and brand craft.
- You are comfortable building and designing in Figma, Framer, Claude, Lovable, and other similar tools—treating them as creative playgrounds for rapid exploration, testing ideas with users, and refining experiences through data and feedback.
- You think in systems, not just screens—and you love building frameworks others can extend.
- You’re excited by AI‐native interfaces and the design challenges they introduce.
- You know how to balance vision and pragmatism—getting ideas into production without losing soul.
- You care about craft, culture, and clarity—your work feels grounded and alive.
Nice‐to‐haves:
- Experience designing for AI, conversational, or agentic interfaces.
- Comfort working directly with engineers and founders in early‐stage environments.
- Visual storytelling or motion experience.
Benefits:
- Work directly with founders and engineers shaping a new software paradigm.
- Help design how AI collaborates with humans in real‐world systems.
- Collaborate with real makers—food producers, chefs, and creators who bring DELLI to life.
- Flexible contract—remote‐friendly, part‐time to full‐time, depending on fit and availability.
- Chance to shape not just a product, but a cultural movement in how independent commerce works.
