The successful candidate will be a competent and experienced EC&I Design Engineer, capable of producing, reviewing, and facilitating designs, drawings, supporting calculations, and technical documents (including plans) with minimal supervision. They will have the ability to translate client requirements into effective engineering and technical solutions. Strong EC&I design skills and excellent communication abilities are essential.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Ensure engineering quality and compliance with client specifications, engineering standards, and relevant legislation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in the production of conceptual designs, optioneering studies, requirements capture, and user requirement specifications.
- Develop pragmatic systems solutions from brief problem statements, with consideration for functional safety and system maturity.
- Participate in design and system-level reviews, ensuring designs meet project and client requirements.
- Support effective project delivery, meeting agreed timelines, costs, and maintaining confidentiality of client data.
- Mentor and support apprentices or graduates, sharing expertise and best practices.
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
- Strong working knowledge of EC&I designs methods together with experience in guiding and directing design.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- Practical plant process knowledge and experience.
- Experience with one or more PES technologies, including PLC, SCADA, DCS, SQL Server, Modicon M, or MIS/HLS systems.
