In this role, you’ll be the beating heart of our day-to-day site operations, leading the team to ensure our customers receive their essentials quickly and accurately.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead and motivate the site team both when the manager is present and during independent shifts, ensuring high energy and operational excellence.
- Oversee order fulfillment to ensure all items are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately to meet strict time targets.
- Manage inventory integrity by unloading deliveries, ensuring accurate product rotation, and conducting precise stock counts.
- Maintain site safety and standards by completing H&S checks, resolving hazards urgently, and keeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy.
- Optimise the delivery hand-off by communicating effectively with riders to ensure seamless transitions and prompt customer deliveries.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying operational bottlenecks and partnering with the Warehouse Manager to implement better ways of working.
What You’ll Need to Thrive:
- Proven ability to lead and motivate others in a fast-paced environment, ideally with experience coaching junior team members.
- Strong operational rigour with a track record of hitting performance targets, such as pick times or delivery accuracy.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the initiative to work autonomously to improve site processes.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively between the warehouse team, management, and our rider community.
- A proactive approach to safety and a detail-oriented mindset when it comes to inventory and compliance procedures.
- Experience in similar environments (FMCG, Retail, Warehouse, or Last-mile delivery) is a significant plus.
