Technical Sourcer
Location: London, UK (Hybrid)
We’re looking for a Technical Sourcer to help us find and engage the engineers who design, build, and scale the products that power Deliveroo from the app on your phone to the complex systems that keep orders moving behind the scenes. This role sits within our Engineering Recruiting team and reports into the Recruiting Manager, Engineering (UK).
You’ll partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers across Backend, Frontend, Full Stack, iOS, and Android teams to build diverse, high-quality pipelines and create brilliant candidate experiences from first outreach onwards. Your impact will go beyond sourcing names. You’ll shape how we approach the top of the funnel from how we define and find great talent, to how we tell Deliveroo’s story in ways that inspire engineers to take a closer look. You’ll be the first touchpoint in the candidate journey, helping Deliveroo continue to attract and engage world-class engineering talent as we grow and innovate at pace.
What you’ll be doing:
Sourcing & Talent Engagement
Proactively identify and connect with top engineering talent using creative sourcing strategies and tools.
Build and maintain diverse pipelines for current and future roles across multiple functions.
Use platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter, Ashby, and coding communities to engage great engineers where they are.
Craft thoughtful, personalised outreach that reflects Deliveroo’s brand and values every message should feel human.
Collaboration & Partnership
Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to understand each role’s priorities, team culture, and what great looks like.
Share regular updates on your sourcing progress and market trends.
Work hand-in-hand with your recruiter to ensure a seamless experience for every candidate, from first contact to interview.
Data & Market Insights
Use data to track what’s working, measure engagement, and spot opportunities to improve.
Share insights on market trends, salary benchmarks, and where great talent can be found.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I)
Actively source from underrepresented communities and find new ways to make our pipelines more inclusive.
Contribute ideas that help us continuously improve our sourcing practices.
Candidate Experience
Make every candidate interaction count: even if they don’t end up joining us.
Represent Deliveroo’s brand with authenticity and enthusiasm at every touchpoint.
What you’ll bring:
-
2-5 years experience in a technical recruitment agency or in house tech organisation.
-
Experience sourcing technical talent (ideally in product, engineering, or tech environments).
-
Strong research and sourcing skills – you’re comfortable using tools like LinkedIn Recruiter (and boolean search techniques) to find and engage talent.
-
Great communication and collaboration skills: you work well with recruiters and hiring managers alike.
-
A curiosity for data and a willingness to learn how sourcing metrics can shape better decisions.
-
A proactive mindset: you adapt quickly and stay ahead in a fast-moving environment.
-
A genuine passion for building inclusive teams and representing a brand you’re proud of.

Benefits differ by country, but we offer many benefits in areas including healthcare, well-being, parental leave, pensions, and generous annual leave allowances, including time off to support a charitable cause of your choice. Benefits are country-specific, please ask your recruiter for more information.
Diversity
At Deliveroo, we believe a great workplace is one that represents the world we live in and how beautifully diverse it can be. That means we have no judgement when it comes to any one of the things that make you who you are – your gender, race, sexuality, religion or a secret aversion to coriander. All you need is a passion for (most) food and a desire to be part of one of the fastest-growing businesses in a rapidly growing industry.
We are committed to diversity, equity and inclusion in all aspects of our hiring process. We recognise that some candidates may require adjustments to apply for a position or fairly participate in the interview process. If you require any adjustments, please don\’t hesitate to let us know. We will make every effort to provide the necessary adjustments to ensure you have an equitable opportunity to succeed.
