The Team

The Finance and Strategy team's core mission is to help Deliveroo make more informed decisions. As the scale and complexity of Deliveroo grows every day, we need dynamic, entrepreneurial, analytical thinkers to support in optimising decision making and driving profitable growth. We aim to build long term company value, and we achieve this by setting company strategy, facilitating world-class execution, understanding the drivers of our business, delivering accurate financial results, all while managing risks and keeping an eye out for opportunities. The Role

  • Provide analytical driven insight to support decision makers and understand the P&L impact of those decisions.
  • Work with stakeholders to support Technology maximising value of their investment and meeting their budget envelopes.
  • Business Partnering with a variety of stakeholders up to and including VP on a daily basis.
  • Playing a critical role in the resource Planning/budgeting processes for Deliveroo Technology.
  • Controlling and tracking spend against the annual plan identifying any risk and opportunities to the plan.
  • Supporting the various stakeholders within the function on ad hoc basis in finance questions.
  • Supporting the capitalisation of internal development process and liaising with finance and Technology counterparts ensuring full compliance with regulations.
  • Management of monthly technology cost reporting and commentary.
  • Understanding and influencing the underlying performance drivers to help drive the top and bottom line.
  • Provide proactive, insightful, high-quality analysis and expertise to support decision-making in the context of the wider business.
  • Translating actions and initiatives into targets and long-range plans for the business.
  • Drive improvements and automation in our processes and reporting.

Requirements

  • Clear confident communicator, with experience influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in an analytical, strategic or commercial role (technology, SaaS or telecommunications experience are a strong plus).
  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) and/or MBA.
  • Advanced GSheet/Excel skills.
  • Complex financial modelling experience.
  • Can demonstrate strong analytical achievements and confidence with numbers.
  • Team player able to work with tact, humility and patience.
  • A pragmatic, commercial mindset, comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Strong motivation with the ability to work quickly and accurately in tight deadlines.
  • Experience in working in a dynamic high-growth company.
