About the team
Our People Team’s focus is on growing our business and our people, and this role will sit within the team’s newly formed Talent Function. A function bringing together organisational design, talent management, culture and learning and development to build strong leadership capability, develop our high performing culture, and identify and grow our best people.
About the role
At Deliveroo, we are transforming the way people shop and eat - and we need exceptional talent to make it happen. As a Learning and Development Team, we are committed to growing our people, equipping them with the skills they need to meet our mission and ensuring they feel like Deliveroo is a place where they can thrive. As Senior L&D Manager, you’ll design and facilitate a range of learning initiatives across the business - from individual coaching and team development to flagship company-wide programmes. You’ll partner with stakeholders across all levels of the business - bringing a strategic mindset and bias for action to all that you do. This is a hybrid role, working within a team of five in the Learning and Development team, reporting to the Director of Learning and Development.
What you’ll be doing:
- Design, facilitate and manage company-wide learning initiatives, with a focus on accelerating the growth of our people manager population.
- Develop a strong pipeline of future people managers and leaders - equipping them with the skills and mindset they need to step up when needed.
- Build the coaching capabilities of all levels of leadership across the organisation.
- Design and facilitate impactful team sessions and workshops at both a tailored and company-wide level.
- Partner with leaders to identify functional capability gaps and shape in-house solutions to address these.
- Evaluate the impact of all the learning initiatives you implement, with a real focus on the observable changes we have seen as a result.
- Collaborate with the wider Talent Function team to either lead or support on strategic company-wide talent initiatives.
What we are looking for:
- You are an experienced learning and development professional, with a proven track record in design and facilitation.
- You are well-versed at establishing credibility and influencing stakeholders, at all levels.
- You are a natural coach and collaborator, with high levels of emotional intelligence.
- You’re able to focus on the things that matter most - flexing your focus depending on the needs of the business.
- You have a bias for action, and are not afraid to fail and learn quickly.
