Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation, and growth drives everything we do. Our People team are the architects of a great workplace where brilliant minds come together to do their best work. From discovering diverse talent and nurturing future leaders, to creating spaces that spark collaboration and crafting rewards that celebrate success - we're passionate about building a culture where everyone can thrive. We’re looking for a Senior Compensation Design Specialist to join our London team. This is a hybrid role.
In this role, you’ll help us build, unify, and scale our global compensation infrastructure and pay-for-performance programs.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be joining the Global Compensation team within Total Rewards. We design and manage programs that motivate and retain top talent globally, providing a consistent and inclusive pay experience for all employees regardless of location. As Deliveroo, DoorDash, and Wolt continue to integrate, you will play an execution-focused specialist role supporting the delivery of unified compensation frameworks rather than acting as a Compensation Business Partner.
Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
- Global Framework Integration & Job Architecture
- Harmonise global frameworks: Play a key role in unifying compensation frameworks across DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo by supporting the evolution of our global job architecture and salary range structures.
- Maintain architecture & governance: Support the ongoing maintenance and governance of global job architecture, salary ranges, and benchmarking methodologies to ensure consistency as the business scales.
- Cycle Execution & Total Rewards
- Deliver compensation review cycles: Partner with the Talent & Rewards Cycle (TRC) team to execute annual and ad hoc compensation cycles, ensuring programs are delivered accurately, efficiently, and with an excellent employee experience.
- Support broad-based rewards: Contribute to the administration and delivery of total pay programs, including base salary and equity / long-term incentive (LTI) structures.
- Market Analytics & Operational Excellence
- Conduct market pricing & analysis: Perform market pricing, internal benchmarking, and complex compensation analysis to support informed pay decisions across multiple regions.
- Drive operational precision: Audit compensation data, validate cycle outputs, test new tooling, and identify opportunities to automate and improve compensation processes.
- Partner cross-functionally: Work closely with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and People Systems to support compensation planning, offer structures, promotions, and organizational changes.
What You’ll Need to Thrive
Essential Experience
- Significant broad-based compensation experience: Deep expertise across salary structures, market pricing, global compensation cycles, and job architecture within fast-scaling organisations (executive-only compensation background will not be sufficient).
- Equity & LTI knowledge: Strong understanding of equity and long-term incentive (LTI) programs and how they integrate into broader total rewards strategies.
- Data-driven analytical capability: Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex datasets, perform multi-region compensation analysis, and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Operational excellence & process design: Proven track record of executing complex global programs with precision, improving automated tooling, and maintaining strict data governance.
- Global perspective & adaptability: Expertise operating across multi-country compensation frameworks and diverse regional market practices in fast-paced, evolving environments.
Nice to Have
- Workday & tooling expertise: Experience navigating Workday compensation modules and advanced compensation planning tools.
- Large-scale tech experience: Background supporting compensation programs in a large, global technology enterprise or similarly complex matrixed environment.
