We’re looking for a Senior Rider Onboarding Associate to join our UKI team. This is a remote, field-based Fixed Term Contract (FTC) role with operational roots in Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, or London. Get to know our Commercial team — what drives us, how we work, and what you can expect.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be joining the Rider Enablement team. This sub-team acts as the operational foundation for rider supply across the United Kingdom and Ireland, managing logistical scaling challenges to ensure the fleet meets real-time marketplace demand.

Owing to the strategic scope of this seniority level, your responsibilities are split across two core operational pillars:

  • Strategy, Design & Scaling
    • Optimise hub performance: Evolve the format and structural workflow of our physical Rider Onboarding Hubs to maximise operational efficiency before, during, and after daily sessions.
    • Scale the footprint: Design, operationalise, and expand physical onboarding spaces across the UKI, implementing standardised systems to maintain high-quality service for all applicants.
    • Drive the strategic roadmap: Architect and execute the 12-month delivery plan for in-person onboarding, balancing expansion with strict time and cost efficiencies.
    • Cross-functional problem solving: Partner with Rider Support, Product, and broader Onboarding teams to troubleshoot live operational issues and funnel on-the-ground intelligence into long-term system enhancements.
  • Field Operations & Fleet Enablement
    • Deliver field onboarding: Travel extensively across the UKI to lead face-to-face onboarding sessions and support localised operations within regional hubs.
    • Manage local supply constraints: Target and eliminate rider deficits in hard-to-source zones, collaborating with the Supply team to build accurate demand forecasting models.
    • Execute seasonal campaigns: Lead tactical supply planning and execution for peak trading seasons to stay ahead of consumer and partner growth.
What You’ll Need to Thrive
  • Essential
    • Sector experience: Proven operational experience within technology, start-ups, food delivery logistics, or direct experience working as a Deliveroo Rider.
    • Autonomy and resilience: A self-starter mindset with a demonstrated ability to work independently in the field, navigate changing operational priorities, and use your own initiative.
    • Stakeholder management: Strong empathetic listening and communication skills, with the capability to influence internal product teams and manage candidate groups.
    • Mobility and licensing: A valid UKI driving licence and access to your own vehicle for locations underserved by public transport, along with the flexibility to travel early and late.
  • Nice to Have
    • Technical tools: Familiarity with G Suite, Slack, Looker, and Salesforce tooling.
    • Language skills: Professional proficiency in Portuguese or Arabic.

Note: This is a 6-month Fixed Term Contract (FTC) with the possibility of extension. All field-based travel, accommodation, and personal vehicle mileage expenses will be fully covered by the company.
