About the role
We’re looking for a UKI Media Specialist to take ownership of our media landscape across the UK and Ireland. You will be responsible for the end-to-end strategic planning and execution of both digital and Above The Line (ATL) campaigns. This role sits at the intersection of brand and performance, requiring a leader who can balance creative excellence with rigorous commercial delivery. You will manage our agency relationships, optimise multi-million pound budgets, and act as the local champion for media innovation, ensuring every pound spent drives maximum ROI and brand love.
What you'll be doing
- End-to-End Execution: Manage the process of strategic planning and execution of all ATL media across UK & Ireland campaigns with our media agency of record as well as collaborating with our in-house digital team, ensuring seamless delivery from concept to go-live.
- Strategy Development: Lead the media strategy for the region, aligning all channel plans with our broader commercial objectives and brand KPIs.
- Agency Management: Lead the day to day relationship with our media agencies, holding them to account for best in class planning, buying, and ongoing optimisation.
- Budget & ROI: Oversee budget allocation across channels, monitoring performance closely to ensure efficient spend and a strong return on investment.
- Performance Analysis: Deep dive into campaign performance, extracting actionable insights to iterate on strategy and inform future marketing activity.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Creative, Brand, and Campaign teams to ensure our media plans are integrated and our assets are fit for platform.
- Creative Optimisation: Champion creative best practices, ensuring all campaign assets are optimised for platform specific performance and engagement.
- Growth & Innovation: Identify and test new growth opportunities, exploring emerging platforms and driving innovation through new formats, tools, and technologies.
- Reporting: Own the reporting frameworks for UKI media, communicating complex results and performance trends clearly to senior stakeholders.
- Measurement: Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure Media is measured where possible and optimised against business critical metrics.
- Industry Leadership: Stay ahead of industry trends and platform updates to continuously improve our media effectiveness and maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements
- Media Expertise: Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-channel media budgets (Digital & ATL) within a fast-paced consumer brand or leading media agency.
- Strategic Thinker: Ability to develop cohesive media strategies that connect brand-building activity with commercial outcomes.
- Agency Experience: Experience of working media agency side preferred with a strong track record of managing clients, campaign processes and media owners to deliver high-performance results.
- Analytical Mindset: Highly data driven and adaptable with the ability to interpret complex performance data and turn it into clear, strategic recommendations.
- Collaborative: Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience working cross functionally with creative and brand teams.
- Innovation-Led: A passion for testing and learning, with a finger on the pulse of the latest media trends and emerging technologies.
- Communication: Strong storytelling and presentation skills, capable of communicating media performance to non-technical senior leadership.
