Get to know our Commercial team — what drives us, how we work, and what you can expect.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be joining the Global Business and Corporate Development (BCD) team. We are a small group of experienced deal professionals responsible for DoorDash’s most complex partnerships across DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo, architecting bespoke mechanics where conventional playbooks fall short.

Given the seniority of this role, your responsibilities will span across both strategic leadership and commercial execution:

  • Deal Strategy & Architecture
    • Originate commercial theses: Partner with Deliveroo leadership to diagnose growth constraints and develop the strategies required to unlock incremental impact through partnerships.
    • Build from first principles: Structure first-of-kind commercial partnerships, creating original deal mechanics for ambiguous opportunities that do not fit standard templates.
  • Negotiation & Delivery
    • Lead high-stakes negotiations: Act as the primary representative for Deliveroo with senior counterparts at global platforms and significant local market players.
    • Own the deal trajectory: Work in lockstep with Legal to refine and close agreements, ensuring terms serve as a de-risked roadmap for long-term execution and measurable impact.
    • Align executive leadership: Develop trusted relationships across Product, Finance, and Marketing to secure the internal resourcing and commitment needed to bring complex deals to life.
What You’ll Need to ThriveEssential
  • Significant experience in complex dealmaking: Proven ability to close non-standard, high-impact deals within digital platforms, consumer marketplaces, or financial services.
  • Mastery of negotiation: Seasoned experience driving the full deal process from ideation to execution, knowing when to lean in and when to walk away from deals that will not move the needle.
  • Elite commercial judgement: A track record of converting ambiguity into clear commercial models that both executives and technical teams can rally behind.
  • Strategic stakeholder management: The ability to navigate sophisticated, multi-faceted organisations and align disparate internal views into a single, unified thesis.
  • Executive presence: Experience engaging directly with C-suite counterparts at global brands, driving results through high-level pattern recognition and relationship building.
Nice to Have
  • Cross-border expertise: Experience navigating regulatory, cultural, and commercial nuances across multiple EMEA markets.
  • Tech-sector network: An established network of senior contacts within global technology, retail, or logistics platforms.
Why Join Us?

At Deliveroo, you’ll do work that matters, solving real-world problems in a three-sided marketplace that’s constantly evolving. We’re food lovers, problem solvers, community builders and more, brought together by a shared drive to make things better. Working here you can expect to:

  • Make a visible impact every day: Your work directly improves experiences for customers, partners and riders.
  • Learn fast in an entrepreneurial environment: Work close to the market with autonomy, pace and real responsibility.
  • Build a career, not just a role: Stretch yourself, develop new skills and grow as the business evolves.
  • Deliver together in an inclusive culture: Collaborative, values-driven teams that support how you work best.

We aim to create a fair process that lets your skills shine—our interview typically includes 3-4 stages. Find more about how we hire here.

Our Global Structure

Deliveroo is now part of DoorDash, bringing together teams with even greater reach, scale, and ambition. Depending on your role, you may collaborate with teammates, systems, and leaders across DoorDash and Wolt. Together, we’re unlocking new possibilities as one global team.

If you have a disability or long-term health condition and need support to apply for one of our roles, or require any reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process, you’ll have the opportunity to let us know once you’ve submitted your application. We’ll share details on how to request support so we can ensure you have a fair and equitable experience.
