About the team
Our in-house Global Creative team shapes our brand narrative and visual identity in the mind of our customers. We collaborate closely across our business in Global Marketing, Product, and Communications to deliver innovative and impactful creative solutions and global & local campaigns. As we continue to grow and bring to life our new brand platform, we need a concept driven creative lead who can help deliver our creative direction.
About the role
As Creative lead you will lead project teams to develop and execute creative concepts for global integrated campaigns and major cultural and seasonal events, whilst building for production with awareness of creative process optimisation at scale. You will collaborate and lead multidisciplinary project teams of content creators; strategists, copywriters, designers, creative technologists, motion designers and artworkers. Your primary goal is to make Deliveroo a brand that customers love, and your work will play a significant role in how we present ourselves across our global markets. This will be a 12 month fixed term contract and will work under our hybrid working model - 3 days a week from our London HQ.
What you'll do
- Lead Development of Creative Concepts: Originate and implement creative concepts, making sure they align with the company’s brand strategy and goals.
- Lead teams: Lead project teams ensuring creative excellence global & local campaign briefs and mentor and support more junior team members.
- Collaborate Across Global Teams: Partner with stakeholders across various levels, departments and markets to maintain creative consistency and effectiveness.
- Art Direct Creative Vision: Define the visual direction for concepts, and lead the execution across design and photography, motion and video, using AI tooling.
- Align Concepts with Strategy: Work with the Head of Creative and Creative Strategist to create and refine creative concepts that support the strategies of marketing campaigns, product launches, and other initiatives.
- Use the latest creative technologies: Develop best-in-class creative.
- Build for creative production: Use the latest tools with an awareness of creative process optimisation at scale.
- Lead Through Point of View: Present coherent creative rationales to stakeholders and defend them.
- Lead Presentations: Present strategic ideas internally, clearly communicating your vision to enable your project teams to develop and refine their creative in response to stakeholder feedback from various levels.
Requirements
- Experience as an inspiring Creative lead, either in an agency or in-house setting.
- An art direction background with demonstrable art direction skills and a body of work to show for it.
- Strong conceptual skill, with the ability to create and present compelling work.
- Ability to integrate creative AI tools in their day-to-day creative work (Figma Weave or similar node based AI tools).
- Ability to use AI tools to quickly and efficiently to problem solve and unlock solutions for production and presentation of concepts (e.g. Claude, Gemini).
- Awareness of creative process optimisation at scale using up to date technologies.
- Storyboarding and Art Direction experience across film/video and photography/stills is essential.
- Ability to originate and nurture disruptive ideas that are both culturally relevant and commercially viable.
- Highly collaborative; you thrive in a people-focused culture.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite & Figma.
- Comfort with fast-paced, dynamic environments and a resilience to change.
- Self-starter with excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Equal passion for small tasks and large projects.
- Ability to balance pushing creative boundaries with being flexible when needed.
