ROLE PURPOSE & SCOPE
The Finance & Excellence Director will report directly to the CEO and serve as a core member of Deliver’s Management Committee. This role leads the finance function and the operational excellence agenda, ensuring financial health, compliance, and performance discipline across the organization. The Finance & Excellence Director will balance strategic foresight with hands‑on execution, embedding strong governance, robust reporting, and continuous improvement practices that directly support Deliver’s Planet–People–Profit mission.

- Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
- Direct reports: Finance & Excellence team, including: Data & Reporting Analyst; Accounting teams (outsourced); FP&A and Finance Controller (to be recruited), Process Manager (to be recruited), Project Manager (to be recruited), Quality Supervisor (to be recruited), Procurement Manager (to be recruited), Productivity & AI Lead (to be recruited).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Financial Strategy & Governance
- Define and implement Deliver’s financial strategy, budgets, forecasts, and reporting frameworks.
- Ensure P&L discipline, cash flow oversight (Order‑to‑cash and Procure‑to‑pay), and international compliance (France, UK, overseas).
- Manage relationships with banking partners to secure efficient operations, liquidity, and funding capacity.
- Partner with leadership to align financial priorities with strategic growth objectives.
- Controlling, Accounting & Tax
- Supervise accounting, controlling, payroll, and consolidation with external providers.
- Guarantee timely and accurate monthly closes, management accounts, and annual statements.
- Oversee tax compliance and optimization across jurisdictions; manage auditors, regulators and relationship with administration.
- Operational Excellence
- Design and enforce performance frameworks (OKRs, KPIs, Balanced Scorecard…).
- Lead initiatives to streamline processes, improve quality, productivity (including dissemination of AI use) and ensure accountability in projects and daily operations.
- Drive continuous improvement across teams using data insights and business intelligence tools.
- Procurement, legal & Risk Management
- Oversee procurement frameworks (RFI, RFQ, RFP) and ensure compliance with governance.
- Manage legal responsibilities including review of contracts, compliance with statutory obligations, and coordination with external legal advisors.
- Monitor operational and financial risks; develop mitigation strategies and manage insurance.
- Leadership & Team Development
- Build and lead a high‑performing finance and excellence team.
- Provide clarity of roles, coaching, and feedback to ensure strong execution.
- Foster a culture of rigor, collaboration, and accountability aligned with Deliver’s values.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
- Minimum 10 years’ progressive experience in Finance, Controlling, or related roles, including senior management in international environments.
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance, accounting, and forecasting, with exposure to both French and UK accounting/tax environments.
- Proven track record of establishing financial processes and controls in scaling and unstructured organizations.
- Experience managing procurement and operational excellence frameworks.
- Demonstrated leadership of teams and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Fluency in English and French.

LOCATION & CONTRACT TYPE
- Remote (France/UK preferred)
- Full‑time Executive Position
PACKAGE & OTHER BENEFITS
- Base Salary: €75,000–€90,000 per annum (gross) / £65,000–£80,000 equivalent, depending on successful track record and seniority
- Performance Bonus: Up to 20% of base salary, linked to objectives
