Position: Full Time/ Permanent, Remote (Global). Reports to: Delegate Director.
ROLE SUMMARY
Engage with the global community of retail decision makers at C&D level and enroll them as fully hosted buyers (travel and accommodation expenses covered) for our 4 premium events in Europe, US, Asia and MEA, in order to have 1:1 meetings with our sponsors across the supply chain industry. Provide full VIP delegate support from onboarding to meeting scheduling to travel coordination. Post show, follow up with both sponsors and VIP retailers to ensure that business opportunities generated onsite are converting into actual partnerships to maximize our sponsors’ ROI. Role split: 50% delegate acquisition and 50% account management (delegates & sponsors).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proactively self-source and convert your delegate pipeline across geographies (while ensuring strict quality criteria are met – delegate seniority, company size, delegate geography, delegate novelty and good match with sponsors services).
- Reach company’s sales activity targets via extensive daily call time and significant number of weekly phone conversations.
- Ensure accurate and timely update of the CRM and daily pipeline reporting.
- Build and sustain long‑lasting relationships with the global retail community.
- Assist delegates in their travel arrangement and refund.
- Assist delegates in scheduling their 1:1 meetings with their best matched vendors via our in‑house developed registration and matchmaking platform accounting for their respective needs and services.
- Post show, work alongside delegates and sponsors to track contracts generated thanks to our inter‑mediation and ensure that delegates remain responsive to sponsors to whom they showed interest in their services.
- Work in partnership with the Sales team to impress our sponsors with your account management.
- Partner closely with other departments, like Marketing, Content, and Operations teams to deliver a seamless and impactful event experience.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor degree or equivalent.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in delegate sales / account management ideally in the events with VIP delegates, or in recruitment of executives in B2B sales.
- Native or bilingual proficiency in English.
- At ease in international environments.
- Strong communicator & people person.
- Dynamic with high positive energy.
- Enthusiastic about picking up the phone for outbound calls and allocating substantial time for meaningful phone conversations every day.
- Comfortable interacting with C&D level people with a good understanding of social etiquette.
- Successful in building rapport and trust.
- Results driven.
- Organised and able to prioritize workload with competing priorities and deadlines.
- High ability in rigorously using CRM systems (daily updates, workflows and reports).
- Experienced in using LinkedIn and B2B lead generation solutions.
- High speed cable internet access in a quiet workspace.
- Open and eligible to global travel several weeks per year.
PACKAGE & OTHER BENEFITS
- Salary package: £30,000 base salary + uncapped quarterly commissions (expect an extra £20,000 or more).
- Fully remote work.
- 35 hours a week: 09:00 - 17:00 UK time, Monday - Friday.
- Generous annual leave policy: 40 days of holidays including bank holidays.
