Deligo is a leader in visual AI self-checkout for the convenience retail industry, trusted by global brands like Compass, Sodexo, Aramark and Spar. We build advanced visual AI — developed by a top-notch machine learning team — to recognize food and retail items instantly. No barcodes, no manual scanning. Just place your items and tap to pay — it’s that simple. The result: a magical experience that improves everyday lives by saving time standing in checkout lines.

This role is for a commercially sharp Account Manager who can own, grow and protect a portfolio of mid-market and enterprise foodservice and retail customers across the UK & Ireland. You will sit at the intersection of operations, tech and revenue, combining hands-on account management with sales responsibility for renewals, upsell and expansion across a multi-site customer base. The role is heavily field-based, with frequent travel (up to 50–75%) and regular overnights so you can be on-site with clients for deployments, reviews and relationship-building while helping to scale an AI-powered self-checkout platform.

How you’ll make a difference:

  • Own a portfolio of mid-market and enterprise accounts across contract catering, workplace dining, leisure, and retail, acting as the primary day-to-day contact for local, regional and head office stakeholders.
  • Build deep relationships with operations, IT/innovation, project and mobilisation teams, becoming the go-to person for anything related to Deligo on their estate.
  • Drive product adoption and performance: run data-led reviews, highlight wins on metrics such as transaction speed, conversion and engagement, and recommend clear next steps.
  • Plan and lead regular account reviews, mapping stakeholder structures, uncovering risks early and putting retention and growth plans in place.
  • Partner with Sales to spot and progress upsell, cross-sell and expansion opportunities across existing clients.
  • Deliver compelling demos and training (virtual and on-site), showing how Deligo plugs into existing POS, payments and digital journeys.
  • Support site assessments, implementations and mobilisations in close collaboration with Customer Success, Product, Operations and Deployment teams.
  • Maintain clear account plans, forecasts and notes in our CRM so that pipeline, risks and opportunities are always visible.
  • Champion the voice of the customer internally, feeding back requirements and integration needs that influence roadmap and partnerships.

What makes you a great fit:

  • 5+ years’ experience in Account Management, Customer Success or a similar client-facing commercial role, ideally working with multi-site B2B customers.
  • Background in foodservice, contract catering, hospitality tech, EPOS/payment solutions or digital ordering/kiosk platforms.
  • Proven experience managing a portfolio of mid-market or enterprise accounts, with multiple stakeholder groups and complex structures.
  • Strong commercial instincts: confident leading renewal conversations, supporting pricing discussions and identifying in-contract growth opportunities.
  • Comfortable with data: able to interpret dashboards and KPIs and turn them into clear, actionable recommendations for clients.
  • Tech-curious, with the ability to explain technical concepts (integrations, payment flows, EPOS workflows) in simple language to non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent communication skills across email, video and in-person meetings, with a track record of building trusted relationships.
  • Highly organised and structured, able to juggle multiple projects, timelines and stakeholders in a remote-first environment.
  • Fluent English; additional European languages such as French, German, Spanish, Dutch or Italian are a plus.
  • Willing and able to travel frequently (including some international travel) for site visits, deployments and key client meetings.

Why join us:

  • Opportunity to join at an early stage, making a visible impact in a fast-scaling startup.
  • Real influence on how our products and processes evolve, with freedom to innovate.
  • A collaborative, creative, and transparent culture where contributions are recognized.
  • High-tech equipment.
  • Flexible working hours and hybrid approach.
  • Competitive salary.

Details:

  • Start: As soon as you are ready.
  • Location: UK based, remote with up to 50-75% travel within UK and Europe.
  • Contract: Permanent.
  • Compensation: Competitive package based on experience.
