Overall Purpose of the Role: To deliver budgeted sales targets for a specific geographical territory by managing and developing existing customer accounts, while actively prospecting, winning, and opening new accounts.
Key Relationships: Customers, Field Sales Team, Channel Team, Telesales, Webshop, Marketing Team, Hardware Team, Chef Team, Sales Data Admin, Delivery Drivers, and Accounts Receivable.
Main Duties & Responsibilities Include:
- Develop existing customer accounts and actively prospect new accounts to ensure sales forecasts and revenue targets are met, with a target ratio of 80% growth from existing customers and 20% from new business.
- Visit existing independent customers and work with them to grow sales by reviewing lost products, expanding product range/categories, introducing NPD (New Product Development), and promoting current promotions.
- Work closely with your Telesales buddy to ensure alignment and harmony on the customer growth plan.
- Use CE to share notes, actions, and next steps.
- Visit and develop nominated national and regional accounts using ABL (Authorised Buying Lists) and period briefs/activities issued by the Channel Manager/Executive, in line with agreed visit frequencies.
- Actively pursue and convert new business leads.
- Manage the territory on a daily basis, achieving the required visit frequency based on account classification.
- Communicate and agree on plans of action with your Telesales buddy.
- Actively convert customers to the Webshop platform.
- On a monthly basis, share a territory business plan with the Channel Sales Manager detailing performance to date and planned forward actions.
- Use provided reports to establish current trends across the account base and identify key actions and objectives by customer to be completed within the journey cycle.
- Ensure all data is fully completed within the Daily Sales Record and/or CE, and that the weekly calendar is updated a minimum of four weeks in advance.
- Ensure all customer enquiries are responded to within 24 hours of receipt, and that all issues are addressed and resolved as quickly as possible.
- Continuously improve product knowledge in order to share insights with customers and support sales growth.
- Present product samples in customer locations when required.
- Deliver launch days for new customers.
- Drive Concept sales in line with allocated targets.
- Manage ROI on all equipment placements across the territory to ensure maximum return on investment, taking appropriate action if equipment is delivering below the expected investment target.
- Follow agreed company processes and policies for pricing, samples, account opening, credit applications, credit requests, and quality control.
- Undertake any reasonable requests from the management team.
- Always represent the Company in a professional and positive manner.
- Identify the most valuable prospect accounts and prioritise these accordingly.
