Experienced Packaging & Label Pre-Press Operator - Vacancy
Delga Press, part of the Meliora Group, are one of the leading providers of printed packaging and labels in the UK. established for over 60 years and located in Rochester, Kent.
We are looking for an experienced Packaging & Label Pre-Press Operator to join our team.
This is a hands-on role for someone with extensive packaging and label knowledge, proven pre-press skills and a strong eye for detail. You will need to be confident working under pressure, highly organised and comfortable working to tight procedures and deadlines.
- Extensive packaging and label pre-press experience
- Proven ability to prepare packaging and label artwork accurately for print
- Fully conversant with:
- Enfocus PitStop
- Adobe Illustrator
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Highly organised with a methodical approach
- Comfortable following strict production procedures
- Strong understanding of print processes, separations, trapping, bleed, dielines and artwork specifications
Advantageous Experience
Experience with any of the following would be beneficial:
- Enfocus Review
- Enfocus Switch
- Phoenix Impo
- HP DFE
Practical Skills Test
As part of the recruitment process, a practical pre-press test will be required.
You will be presented with a packaging artwork file and asked to:
- Prepare the artwork fully for print.
- Identify and document the errors within a separate non-conforming artwork file.
This is a genuine hands‑on packaging and label pre-press role, so we are looking for someone who can demonstrate their knowledge rather than simply list it on a CV.
