About You

About The Role

The Highlands is a 14-bed residential care home in Tyne & Wear supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, Acquired Brain Injury, and complex needs. We support individuals to achieve personal goals, live independently, and enjoy community life. Our residents love arts and crafts, parties, Christmas decorations, music, and karaoke.

As a Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, enabling care, facing new challenges and rewards daily, helping us be the best in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement person-centered support plans, promote independence, manage risks, encourage relationships, and ensure compliance.
  • Develop engaging activity plans fostering autonomy and growth.
  • Support healthy lifestyles and health needs.
  • Facilitate effective communication and maintain detailed records.
  • Oversee medication processes and support self-administration.
  • Maintain a safe, clean environment following health and safety protocols.
