Founded over 30 years ago, Sir Cameron Mackintosh’s Delfont Mackintosh Theatres Ltd owns and operates eight of the most prestigious theatres in London’s West End: the Gielgud, Noël Coward, Novello, Sondheim, Prince Edward, Prince of Wales, Victoria Palace and Wyndham’s.

An enthusiastic and forward thinking person, you will demonstrate strong leadership skills, enjoy problem solving, relish new challenges and work closely with colleagues to achieve the highest possible standards, and contribute to the success of Delfont Mackintosh Theatres.

Reporting to the Lead General Manager, the General Manager is responsible for ensuring the following in their theatre:

  • consistent and exceptional service, safety, security and cleanliness;
  • commerciality, sustainability and cost effectiveness;
  • engaging, training and developing the best staff;
  • fostering an ethos of inclusivity where everyone feels respected, valued and supported.

The successful applicant will have worked in a comparable role, with demonstrable leadership ability and experience of motivating large teams of staff. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with good financial acumen and exceptional customer service standards. Evening and weekend work is required.
