Founded over 30 years ago, Sir Cameron Mackintosh's Delfont Mackintosh Theatres Ltd owns and operates eight of the most prestigious theatres in London's West End: the Gielgud, Noël Coward, Novello, Sondheim, Prince Edward, Prince of Wales, Victoria Palace and Wyndham's.
Reporting to the Group Box Office Manager, the Box Office Manager plays a vital role in the daily operation of the box office across two theatres, with line management responsibility for the Box Office Supervisors and part-time Box Office Clerks.
This role will help maximise ticket sales by monitoring ticket inventory and managing on the day agent sales. It will be responsible for resolving escalated customer service issues and ensuring effective rostering. It will also produce and distribute end of day sales reports.
The successful candidate should have a good working knowledge of West End theatre and an aptitude for working in live entertainment. They should be computer literate, with an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experience of working with ticketing systems. They will also need excellent numerical, written and communication skills, together with demonstrable experience of delivering exceptional customer service.
