A leading UK wealth manager is seeking a Product Governance Specialist to play a pivotal role in shaping and overseeing the governance of its investment products and services. The Opportunity
You’ll take ownership of the product approval and review framework, ensuring investment propositions are designed, monitored and distributed in line with regulatory expectations and best practice. Sitting within the investment research function, you will work across multiple teams, you’ll help drive high‑quality client outcomes through robust governance, insightful analysis and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and operation of the product approval and review framework
- Ensure regulatory and internal policy requirements (inc. Consumer Duty) are implemented
- Maintain and enhance product templates, documentation and approval workflows
- Coordinate responses to regulatory and manufacturer information requests
- Engage with external stakeholders, including manufacturers and industry groups
- Produce, analyse and present product governance MI
- Support continuous improvement through analysis of product governance outcomes
- Present findings and proposals to governance and investment committees
Requirements
- Minimum seven years’ experience in wealth or investment management
- Direct experience in product governance, ideally on the buy side
- Strong understanding and application of Consumer Duty & PROD
- Excellent analytical, numerical and communication skills
- Highly organised, detail‑driven and comfortable managing evolving priorities
- Confident self‑starter able to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience in process analysis, design and documentation
