Role Overview
We are hiring a Circuit Provisioning Operations Engineer (CPOE) to support the rapid growth of a global CDN infrastructure footprint. This role focuses on the lifecycle of interconnection and circuit provisioning across data centers and global Points of Presence (POPs), coordinating across multiple stakeholders, vendors, and time zones.
Responsibilities
- Issue LOA-CFA documentation and manage cross-connect provisioning
- Coordinate or execute physical circuit installation, delivery, and troubleshooting
- Facilitate vendor interactions and site work for circuit-related operations
- Oversee physical cabling installations and support fault isolation
- Maintain and improve circuit and spares inventory databases
- Drive operational updates, audits, and documentation
- Use internal systems (e.g., JIRA) for request tracking and reporting
- Support site-level logistics, shipment coordination, and process audits
- Participate in on-call rotations for circuit troubleshooting
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years in data center or enterprise IT infrastructure
- Working knowledge of fiber optics, DWDM/CWDM, network interfaces
- Strong technical and process troubleshooting skills
- Experience coordinating with vendors, telco providers, and field technicians
- Basic Linux/Unix CLI proficiency
- Experience executing MOPs or technical instructions
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in telecom, infrastructure, or colocation environments
- Familiarity with equipment lifecycle processes and vendor escalations
- Certifications (e.g., Network+, Server+, CDCTP)
- Experience with JIRA or similar ticketing systems
- Leadership or coordination of junior field engineers/contractors
