  • Client Management:

  • Act as the main point of contact for wedding couples and event clients from initial inquiry through to the day of the event.

  • Conduct site visits, consultations, and planning meetings with clients to understand their vision and requirements.

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on event logistics, vendor selection, and design options.

  • Event Planning and Coordination:

  • Develop detailed event plans, including timelines, floor plans, and vendor coordination.

  • Work closely with clients to curate personalised and memorable experiences tailored to their preferences and budget.

  • Liaise with external suppliers, including florists, caterers, photographers, and entertainment providers, ensuring all elements align with the client’s vision.

  • Coordinate with the operations team to ensure smooth setup, execution, and breakdown of events.

  • Catering

o Organise party reservations for the restaurants, answering calls and emails in a efficient timescale

  • Manage catering and seasonal lead events and experiences including (but not limited to), seasonal afternoon teas, princess parties, Christmas parties

  • Be an extension of the front of house team to ensure experiences are delivered to the standards expected of the organisation.

  • Sales and Marketing:

  • Proactively generate leads and convert inquiries into bookings.

  • Assist the marketing team to promote Delapré Abbey as a wedding and events venue.

  • Attend wedding fairs, exhibitions, and networking events to represent and promote the venue.

  • Maintain accurate records of inquiries, bookings, and client communications.

  • Event Day Management:

  • Oversee the execution of events, ensuring all details are meticulously managed and that the client’s expectations are exceeded.

  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise on the day, providing quick and effective solutions.

  • Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed during events.

  • Organise staff and volunteer rotas and briefings for events in line with business activities.

  • Financial Management:

  • Provide accurate quotes for clients. Keep up to date with trends and competitor benchmarking to ensure quotes are in line with industry practice.

  • Work with the finance team to process payments, manage invoicing, and ensure all financial aspects of the event are handled accurately.

  • Post-Event Follow-Up:

  • Conduct post-event debriefs with clients to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.

  • Maintain ongoing relationships with past clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.

  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in events, with a strong emphasis on weddings and corporate events.

  • Skills:

  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Creative problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused approach.

  • Strong sales acumen with a track record of meeting and exceeding targets.

  • Personal Attributes: A passion for events and a commitment to delivering outstanding service. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the event schedule., * Event Management: 2 years (required)

£24,000 – £25,000 a year – Permanent, Full-time,
