Key Accountabilities:
This role falls into three sections: Product Management (supply chain project management), Vesting, and end of month financial forecasting. This is a reactive role - problem management, financial forecasting, and vesting (vesting is a contractual mechanism where ownership of expensive, long-lead materials transfers to the buyer before delivery, and you will have one direct report - Project Coordinator).
Managing Suppliers - 8/10 supplier visits per month travelling to Ireland, Coventry, Essex, Midlands.
Job Specific:
- Set an example of positive leadership.
- Proactively manage all domestic and global production activities in a structured, consistent, and efficient way to achieve desired production outputs.
- Set up and maintain regular communication with domestic and global manufacturing partners, keep good records of the discussions via Power BI reports, and delegate, execute, and hold other supply chain members accountable for critical actions required to maintain the desired production flow.
- Visit suppliers when required to maintain a good relationship with the supplier’s production teams, review their production process flows and balcony quality output.
- Collaborate with Procurement and Logistics managers to plan production in the most efficient, commercially viable, risk-averse manner and report back to the Production Director.
- Submit production forecasts to all key suppliers quarterly to provide visibility of upcoming work and aid factory resource planning.
- Prepare, assist or oversee Vesting process, including drafting vesting certificates, obtaining product photos and drafting vesting schedules required for successful submission of the financial applications in line with the revenue forecasts and client requirements.
- Maintain regular and professional communication with the customer commercial teams and set an example of world-class customer service.
- Assist or oversee client vesting visits to production and storage locations to ensure customer satisfaction and swift application payments.
- Take the initiative to improve the Production, Revenue and Vesting departments and customer experience through enhanced processes and IT system automation.
- Manage your teams in a supportive and professional manner, ensuring regular feedback is provided via 1-2-1 meetings and quarterly appraisals.
- Brainstorm and draft department goals on a quarterly basis, broken down in SMART principles and in line with the overall company strategy.
Forecasting:
- Forecast revenue in line with the design plan, production plan, and delivery plan. Hold colleagues accountable for providing required information within desired deadlines, working with purchasing, production, finance, and contract managers.
- Ensure all projects in the contract projection model have a revenue forecast.
- Ensure all new sales projects included in the order book are added to the contract projection model.
- Monthly revenue projections are circulated within agreed deadlines, and weekly revenue meetings are held with the finance team and contract managers to monitor progress and analyse areas of slippage and increase.
- Quarterly revenue projections are validated and circulated to the Board in the first month of each quarter.
- Update the split of revenue in CPM between different products and suppliers.
- Work with the Finance department to implement a Cash projection model to complement the CPM and provide the business's overall cash flow position.
