Our client has the following role:
£60,000 - £75,000 per annum; commission is not offered for this role, however, we do have an annual bonus, which is discretionary up to 20%. Based in Hook, Hampshire - required to attend office once per month for meetings. Otherwise fully remote. Permanent, full-time.
As an Account Manager, you will be delivering a high-level service to their entire SMETS customer base for Smart Metering at a senior/corporate relationship level, ensuring all downstream activities are on track and appropriate with all assigned energy companies & MAPs, working as part of the UK Account Management team. The role is national; you will be using your sales, relationship development and influencing skills to position our client as a preferred manufacturer of smart metering products, services and solutions to both new and existing business.
In doing so, you will work closely with the other supporting functions at both local and global levels to respond to the customer needs and lead their efforts to position the company as their preferred partner of choice. You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the sales account plan, looking at key areas to grow revenue and profit, managing product availability through forecast analysis, as well as achieving the relevant targets for revenue, profitability and growth.
You will be required to present performance data of forecasted orders/revenue versus budget, highlighting and presenting mitigation plans to de-risk any revenue or profit impact, whilst also managing any product, delivery or service escalations. Acting as the customer's point of contact, you are the eyes and ears in the market, providing feedback on performance, perception and competitor threats. As a key front-facing representative, most significantly you will represent their brand and company values, always acting professionally.
If you have the following expertise:
- Must be a driver with a car and a clean license
- Ideally educated to Degree level
- Ideally at least 2 years + in energy and/or manufacturing sector
- Worked in an environment to demonstrate achieving targets and objectives
- Demonstrate a level of customer engagement/relationships
- Can demonstrate level of contracting, negotiating, and change management
- Level of developing sales account strategies and performance metrics
- Ability to motivate teams and others to work within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects
