PLS NOTE YOU MUST LIVE NEAR READING, BERKSHIRE and be able to work 5 days a week hours 7:30-4:30pm.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Book goods and materials on sites booking systems and communicate to the relevant parties.
  • Communicate with sites, storage for any delays on transport or last-minute quantity changes of goods.
  • Regular communication with storage, transport companies, logistics manager, contract managers and sites managers, to keep all parties updated on the goods coming into site or storage.
  • Foreword projection of storage and transport requirements, working off production forecasts; including the production of a monthly report storage site plans to be marked up ahead of goods going into storage working with Site Co-Ordination call off and site requirements to limit goods moved around in storage later.
  • Storage site plans and records to be updated weekly so we know the position of all the materials in storage.
  • Prepare and assist with the Lorry Loading Plans and Building Sequence drawings when required by the site Coordinator’s and the Contract Managers.
  • Ensure Dispatch Notes are being signed and scanned to the system and that all relevant records are being updated with the goods that are in storage.
  • Coordination of shunts from factory to storage yard, and regular communication with storage and transport companies to keep all parties updated on the goods coming into storage.
  • Keep records of materials in storage and arrange transport of supply only materials to factories ahead of site production.
  • Place orders on the Accounting System covering storage and shunting.
  • Check and approve storage invoices and storage associated costs.
  • Visit storage locations on a regular basis to check both goods in storage and ensure the goods are being kept up to date with the storage plan.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Full UK Driving License, preferably clean.
  • Two years related experience in warehousing, storage, transport administration.
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills.
  • A demonstrable ability to solve problems and make decisions.
  • Good analytical and numeracy skills.
  • Good IT skills; including MS Office, Accounting and Planning Software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
