Interim Dev Ops Engineer (Contract) | Hybrid | Newcastle HQ Outside Ir35, initial 3 month contract.

We're looking for an experienced

Interim Dev Ops Engineer to join our growing Saa S business on an initial contract.

This is a hands‑on role where you'll work across our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes platform and wider technology estate, helping to maintain, improve and scale our environments.

You'll be part of a collaborative engineering team, contributing to platform reliability, automation and operational excellence.

The role is predominantly remote, with regular travel to our

Newcastle HQ as required.

  • What you'll be doing
  • Managing and improving our AWS cloud infrastructure
  • Supporting and optimising Kubernetes workloads and container platforms
  • Developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code and automation
  • Enhancing CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
  • Monitoring platform health, performance and security
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to deliver resilient, scalable solutions
  • Supporting both cloud infrastructure and wider IT environments where required

  • Proven experience in a Dev Ops or Platform Engineering role
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform or Open Tofu preferred)
  • Docker and containerisation expertise
  • A proactive, hands‑on approach with excellent troubleshooting abilities
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with engineering and technical stakeholders
