Building the foundations of mobile at scale for a customer obsessed, global brand. We’re partnering with a global brand on a long-term technology transformation and are looking for a Senior React Native Developer to take real ownership of a shared mobile design system. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, design, and architecture. You’ll be shaping a scalable React Native component library used across multiple mobile applications, while aligning closely with an established web-based design system.
If you enjoy setting standards, influencing direction, and building things other teams rely on — this one’s for you.
What you’ll be doing:
- Owning and evolving a shared React Native component library
- Helping define and govern a cross-platform design system
- Aligning new mobile apps with an existing web design system
- Working closely with design, product, and engineering teams
- Leading architectural discussions and shaping technical decisions
- Providing technical guidance to teams consuming the design system
- Championing accessibility, performance, testing, and maintainability
- Creating clear documentation, standards, and usage guidelines
- Advising stakeholders across the business on best-practice usage
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with React Native and TypeScript
- Solid understanding of design-system-led development
- Experience collaborating closely with designers (Figma / Sketch)
- Strong knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design
- Experience with automated testing strategies
- Comfortable in agile environments (Git, CI/CD, Jira, etc.)
- Confident leading architectural conversations and influencing direction
- Able to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience owning or contributing to a component library
Nice to have (but not essential):
- Web experience (React, HTML, CSS)
- Experience re-platforming native apps to React Native
- Design tokens, theming, and cross-platform styling
- Exposure to AWS or cloud-based infrastructure
Why this role stands out:
- High-impact work on a globally used product
- Real ownership — not just feature delivery
- Strong emphasis on quality, consistency, and craft
- A role that blends hands-on coding with technical leadership
