This is an interim leadership role with full accountability for security strategy, operations, GRC and stakeholder engagement.

The role involves taking ownership of the end-to-end security landscape — technical, procedural and cultural — ensuring the organisation's risk posture continues to strengthen while enabling business growth.

Key focus areas:

  • Overseeing day-to-day security operations, incident response and business continuity
  • Driving security governance, compliance and assurance (ISO 27001 in particular)
  • Strengthening third-party and supplier security assurance
  • Providing clear, actionable reporting on risk, maturity and progress to leadership

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience operating at Security Director / Head of Security / CISO level in complex environments (this company has 10k employees, c. £1bn turnover)
  • Strong background across security strategy, governance, risk, compliance and operational delivery
  • Comfortable influencing at exec level while remaining pragmatic and delivery-focused
