Suited to Senior EDI Analyst, EDI Lead, or EDI Managers

EDI | B2B Integrations | Team Leadership | Transformation

Fancy taking ownership of an EDI function, leading a team of three, and helping shape the future of integrations for a major business?

I'm working on an opportunity with an established, international electrical wholesaler that's investing in the future of its integration landscape. They're looking for an EDI Technical Lead to take ownership of existing EDI services, lead customer and supplier implementations, and play a key role in moving towards a centralised, third-party integration platform.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity combining technical delivery, stakeholder management and team leadership. You'll help keep critical business integrations running while driving the transition to a more scalable model.

What will you be doing?

  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of three, providing technical direction, supporting delivery and helping develop the team's capabilities.
  • EDI & Integrations: Oversee the implementation, maintenance and support of EDI services, ensuring reliable data exchange between the business, its customers and suppliers.
  • Transformation: Play a key role in migrating internally managed EDI integrations to a centralised, third-party platform.
  • Customer & Supplier Onboarding: Take ownership of integration relationships, understanding requirements and guiding partners through implementation from initial discussions to go-live.
  • Technical Delivery: Design and configure integration solutions, prepare test data, coordinate testing and troubleshoot issues across multiple platforms.
  • Continuous Improvement: Assess the existing integration landscape, document technical processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability and scalability.
  • Stakeholder Management: Work across technical teams, business stakeholders, customers, suppliers and external providers to deliver successful integration projects.

What are we looking for?

Someone with strong EDI experience who can combine technical expertise with the ability to lead people, manage priorities and deliver successful implementations.

You'll ideally bring:

  • Experience implementing, supporting and maintaining EDI solutions.
  • Knowledge of EDI standards and transactions, including ANSI.
  • Experience with SFTP, FTP over VPN and FTPS.
  • Experience in a senior or lead-level role, ideally with people management responsibility.
  • Knowledge of APIs, bespoke integrations and moving data between different platforms.
  • Experience documenting technical solutions, managing test data and coordinating integration testing.
  • An understanding of IT project lifecycles, business processes and continuous improvement.
  • Confidence working with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders in a B2B environment.
  • Join an established international business with a strong track record of growth and opportunities for career development.
  • Access a benefits package including healthcare, pension and paid time off.

If you're an experienced EDI professional ready to step into a leadership role, or an existing EDI Lead looking for a fresh challenge with a genuine transformation agenda, I'd be keen to speak.
