We are working with a FTSE100 CISO to build a first-class security capability, including this Cyber Security Analyst role to enhance their security operations capability, working closely with a 24x7 third-party SOC, giving you hands-on exposure to real-world threats, incidents, and vulnerability management.
The role will be a blend of some SOC work, combined with a range of other initiatives as the cyber team grows, including involvement in security engineering and tooling.
What you’ll be doing:
- Monitoring and triaging security alerts from internal systems and a third-party SOC
- Supporting investigation, containment, and remediation of security incidents
- Working with SIEM, EDR, threat intelligence feeds, and vulnerability scanning tools
- Helping improve detection, response playbooks, and security documentation
- Collaborating with IT and infrastructure teams on vulnerability remediation
- Supporting continuous improvement across security operations and controls
Ideal Candidate:
- Established commercial cybersecurity and/or SOC experience.
- Hands-on exposure to incident investigations and risk remediation
- Working knowledge of SIEM, endpoint security, and network fundamentals
- Understanding of common cyber threats and incident response principles
