A newly created role to shape and lead the development of revenue generating, digital customer solutions for a high-growth PE-backed professional services firm.
We are partnered with a PE backed professional services firm, with a Value Creation Plan which is heavily linked to the growth and innovation of their digital products (SAAS) which are used by both external customers and internal fee earning employees. This newly created Group-level director role will centralise multiple product teams delivering and have full strategic decision making over the group engineering & AI org structure, which is currently 150 people across various regions and products.
This role will build a modern, AI-enabled digital product engineering capability and define a roadmap that enhances client experience, colleague productivity, and long-term enterprise value.
The Role- Lead the Group’s digital product engineering function across internal and client-facing digital products.
- Define and deliver a strategic Product & AI roadmap aligned to business and operational goals.
- Build a product-centric operating model across product, engineering, design, QA and AI functions.
- Oversee the full SDLC, adopting Agile, DevOps, CI/CD and modern engineering standards.
- Embed an AI-first approach across product development — automation, ML, data-driven decisioning, and platform innovation.
- Shape the product organisation’s structure, governance and culture, promoting experimentation and continuous delivery.
- Lead vendor partnerships and emerging-tech evaluations to accelerate innovation.
- Track value realisation of new digital products and AI capabilities.
- Director-level product/digital engineering leadership experience in a complex, multi-service or multi-region organisation.
- Experience delivering customer-facing digital products, SaaS, platforms or B2B technology solutions.
- Proven background in building and scaling product, digital, engineering or AI/automation teams.
- Strong fluency in AI/ML fundamentals and how to embed them into digital products.
- Visionary, commercially aware, and able to balance innovation with operational practicality.
The company has a remote UK working model with meetups as required. Salary of c. £175,000 - £185,000 + exec level bonus/benefits. Due to the urgency of this hire, whilst recruiting this permanent hire, we would consider an interim in the short-medium.
