The opportunity

The organisation is seeking a Head of Communications to join its Marketing and Communications team. Reporting into the Director of Marketing and Communications, this role will be central to shaping and protecting the company’s reputation across media, government, investors and key stakeholders. It offers the chance to work across corporate communications, PR, public affairs and brand, within a small and collaborative team in a dynamic environment.

Main responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver corporate communications strategies that strengthen the organisation’s reputation.
  • Build and manage relationships with government, regulators, industry bodies and community stakeholders at a local and national level.
  • Oversee media relations, managing agencies and delivering positive PR outcomes.
  • Anticipate reputational risks and work alongside the Director of Marketing and Communications on crisis communications when necessary.
  • Support brand development, marketing collateral and digital channels.

Key skills and experience

  • Strong track record in corporate communications, PR and planning communications.
  • Experience managing agencies and advising senior leadership teams.
  • Skilled at stakeholder engagement, including government, media and industry groups.
  • Knowledge of digital channels, especially LinkedIn, with proven success in storytelling.
  • Proactive, adaptable communicator with excellent attention to detail, and comfortable in juggling multiple projects and stakeholders.
