At Del Monte, we are passionate about delivering high-quality fresh products to customers across the UK and beyond. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Warehouse Manager to lead our warehouse operation at our Wisbech site.

The Role

As Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and effective management of all warehouse activities, ensuring products are received, stored, controlled, and dispatched accurately and on time. You will lead a team of warehouse colleagues, drive high standards of health and safety, maintain inventory accuracy, and work closely with other departments to support business performance and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all day-to-day warehouse activities, including goods-in, storage, stock movements, order fulfilment, and dispatch.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of inbound and outbound deliveries.
  • Optimise warehouse layout, storage solutions, and workflow efficiency.
  • Oversee the maintenance and safe use of warehouse equipment.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop warehouse colleagues to achieve operational objectives.
  • Plan staffing levels, shift patterns, and holiday cover.
  • Provide coaching, support, and training to build capability across the team.
  • Foster a positive, engaged, and safety-focused culture.
  • Maintain high levels of stock accuracy through cycle counts and stock audits.
  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
  • Champion a strong health and safety culture. Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, and incident investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, GMP standards, and relevant legislation.
  • Work collaboratively with Production, Logistics, and Procurement teams to support operational excellence.

About You

We are looking for someone who can bring strong operational leadership alongside excellent organisational and people management skills and has the following proven skills and experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a warehouse or production management role.
  • A strong understanding of warehouse KPIs and operational performance measures.
  • Experience using warehouse management and Microsoft software systems.
  • Knowledge of GMP requirements and food industry standards.
  • Holds Counterbalance FLT and PPT licences.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to lead by example and build high-performing teams.
  • Experience working within a short shelf-life chilled food environment.
  • Additional language skills would be helpful.
