Sustainability Business Development Executive
Location: Hybrid, ideally within a 1 hour commute from our Stokenchurch office, HP14 3SX (occasional travel to office required)
Salary: Up to £40,000 DOE + £10,000 performance-related bonus (OTE £50,000)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

The Role
As a Sustainability Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for identifying, nurturing, and converting business opportunities for sustainability services, with a focus on small to medium-sized projects (≤£500k) and supporting larger partnerships (£1-5m).
You’ll collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including marketing and operations, while maintaining an accurate sales pipeline and contributing to long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively manage your pipeline and convert qualified leads into sales revenue
- Create proposals, lead client presentations, and support commercial negotiations
- Collaborate with the Head of Sustainability Services on global opportunities
- Ensure accurate use of Salesforce CRM and track BD activities
- Deliver excellent client service from early engagement through to project handover
- Support larger sales opportunities and nurture long-term client relationships
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Commercially driven with strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Highly organised and self-motivated with a proactive attitude
- Comfortable working in both fast-paced sales environments and strategic business development settings
You will also bring:
- Experience in a business development or sales role
- Knowledge or interest in sustainability (corporate, product or supply chain)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM systems
- Previous consultancy or automotive industry experience is desirable
