You will be one of two consultants covering the UK, with your delivery footprint focused on the Midlands to the South of England.

What you will be doing

  • Producing clear diagnostic summaries and an evidence-based gap analysis for management review.
  • Agreeing priority actions with Retailer leadership and building practical, Retailer-specific action plans.
  • Supporting operational improvements across booking, workshop control, preparation, and customer handover/collection processes.
  • Providing targeted support to Retailers, adapting the support path based on diagnostic findings.
  • Tracking progress against agreed measures and providing structured updates after each session, including escalation where performance drops or actions stall.

What we are looking for (essential)

  • Strong experience in automotive aftersales / workshop operations within a Retailer environment (or equivalent network role).
  • Proven ability to use performance data and operational insight to deliver improvement in workshop results (efficiency, utilisation, productivity, workflow control).
  • Confident communicator who can influence at all levels (including Aftersales Managers, Workshop Controllers and Senior Leadership).
  • Strong written communication and report quality, including clear session summaries and progress updates.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing a travel-heavy role across a defined region.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting service marketing activity (planning, budgeting, activation and review).
  • Understanding of booking-centre / call-centre processes and how they impact appointment conversion and workshop loading.

How success will be measured

  • You will be expected to deliver measurable improvement against programme measures such as workshop efficiency measures (utilisation, productivity, efficiency using agreed definitions).
  • Diagnostic/workflow measures (lead time, first-time-fix, rework).
  • Booking and Vehicle Health Check funnel performance where applicable.
  • A strong focus on return on investment for both the programme and participating Retailers is essential.
