A Day in the Life and the Impact You’ll Make As a Vehicle Inspection Engineer, you’ll carry out detailed vehicle inspections with accuracy, professionalism and a strong eye for detail. From pre-purchase inspections and warranty evaluations to dealer audits and mechanical assessments, you’ll help ensure vehicles meet high standards of safety and quality. Your expertise and reporting will support customer confidence while representing DEKRA with professionalism and integrity. What You’ll Do •  Conduct high-quality vehicle inspections, ensuring accuracy and professionalism at all times.•  Complete detailed inspection reports promptly following each inspection.•  Carry out pre-purchase checks, warranty evaluations, audits and mechanical assessments.•  Identify cosmetic, structural and mechanical issues, including substandard bodywork repairs.•  Support operational initiatives and contribute to new processes and programmes.•  Build positive customer relationships and represent DEKRA professionally. What You’ll Bring •  Proven mechanical experience within vehicle maintenance, servicing or MOT environments.•  Experience conducting vehicle inspections, audits or appraisals.•  Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, professional reports.•  Excellent organisational and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.•  Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider team.•  A full UK driving licence.•  An interest in continuous improvement and operational development.
